I keep them together. They have plenty of space, and the drake is quite calm and minds his own business, so everyone gets along fine. If the muscovies start something, the geese finish it...
My scovies are growing up. The boys are so sweet, they come running and stand at my feet wagging their tails begging for mealworms. 3/4 are drakes, so looks like I'll only be able to keep one, I think 3/6 off my younger ducklings are drakes too. They've been integrated in the main coop and allowed to free range a few weeks now, but still stick to the yard right outside the coop. I would love for them to come out with the other birds and actually forage in grass I stead of dirt, lol. Hoping they do that soon. They share the coop with my Sebastopol geese and a few layer chickens right now. I will be making them their own coop because I've been told the drake and my gander will fight quite a bit in the spring. Wondering if anyone on here keeps geese and scovies together?
