Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Another week has passed and the ducklings have grown. Little fuzzball has become stronger and has gained weight, but is still smaller and also keeps his round shape while the others have noticeably stretched. I suspect that it spine may be deformed because it looks a little hunchbacked to me.
Mother duck is still displeased with visitors, but when I offer food and water and stop moving, she and her offspring stay near me without being bothered by me. So I could take some close-up pictures

fuzzball made it!

@ Miss Lydia: I think you are right, maybe it just needs more time to stretch out. I don't know how it actually works with that kind of ducklings, whether there occured a mistake during incubation or if it has genetic disposition or maybe it just hatched a day later than the others and that delay forces the organism to put more energy into motion than growing.

Is it true that ducklings with this colour pattern turn out to be barred? I found pictures on the web that say so.

For him I mixed the duckling pellets with water and ground them between my palms. That created lots of particles small enough to eat for fuzzball. But now it can swallow also the larger pellets. I am so happy that it improved so much despite the bad climate.

Lydia, your duck is beautiful!

I got a new picture of my two new girls today. The white girl has the prettiest blue eyes.

Beautiful... I have 3 solid white with blue eyes it is a very pretty color blue. in all the ducklings that have hatched here I have never had a solid white one. Kinda strange since I have 3 solid white ducks. Are they hanging out with your other Scovie girl?

This is what has been going on here today... cat fight I mean duck fights. these 2 are sisters but for some reason they were mad at each other today, the one on top in the pics is in solitary confinement tonight since she sleeps with the one she beat up.

Yes, they seem to get along really well with each other. Hope I never see them acting like your girls. That would be a bummer.
