New neighbors - no pets. They are a very young couple , kinda snobby so far :(. The girl grew up 2 properties over on the other side of mine. Her mommy just bought her this house when it went up on the market. It was a great deal, too! Beautiful older farmhouse that has been nicely updated. She went to school with my son and was a snot then (ever see the movie 'Mean Girls'?).
Ahh well.

This was the nest we moved, that mama abandoned it and then one of the youngest chocolates took it over, she added two of her own eggs, she booted one egg(non fertile) so last i could get near their were 9 eggs.

At this point i'll just let her do her job and keep an eye... she comes out now & then has quite the broody on despite being young(were talking won't be 1yo till Aug) i just hope she's of equal mama quality. She's chosen the back of a stall in the duck barn so easily fenced off and safe to set up.. if it works. This is THE last nest, this year i have been a real bear and taking every egg i see now.

Yeah it is a shame & here we are in the city & got yelled at by our neighbor when we got rid of our roo lol. The neighbor was so mad he threw a hissy fit & wouldnt talk to us for months
