I foolishly assumed my now pair was good, but were a trio before other duck hen disappeared days before i bought the two. do you all think ill need one more, or how many females in all per drake, minimum. and maximum ?

2-3 is the min. I like more than that, at least 5 per.

Right now since I will be keeping my newest drake 6weeks old tomorrow, I will have 4 ducks per drake. usually the youngest I call ducks at large though they usually will go with any of the drakes.

The max (like anyone ever really worries about that!) a drake can handle up to 7 hens adequately.
Can we not let our men-folk hear that tho?
