Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Okay don't know if anyone else has had to deal with Frost bite this year but I

on this pic if you look to the right of his knob it looks like it has some swelling in it now.

have most of my ducks had a touch of it on their knobs my one drake still seems to be having some problems, i have been watching his knob which appears to be swollen and squishy, the other day him and another drake got into a fight and his knob got scratched, it has scabbed over but now it looks like some of the flesh beside the knob is a bit swollen Trying to decide if I should put him on some antibiotics if it's infection. Not a big fan of them and don't want to if i don't have to. Anyone else know whats the best way to treat this, I have sprayed him with Veterycin in the evening when I put him to bed. so far that all I have done. Here are some pics.
Have no idea why this came out like it did with my post not together but anyway
Antibiotics I have are Baytril tabs and Duramycin powder

Do scovies start to make a nest before they lay? Duckie has a pile of feathers going now. Used to be when I clean there was a couple few feathers, today I went to clean the cage and there's many, a hand full, in one corner. I clean it out every day.

I left the feathers this time btw they were dry and notpoopy so I figured I should find out before I get rid of them and upset my duck lol

Yes they will make an indention in the shaving or straw and usually put feathers in when they are getting into the broody mood. Could she be molting?

I never have noticed the feathers on the ground before they start laying, but they sure have feathers all over in the nest, so it would stand to reason that they line the nest with feathers before they go broody. Sounds like you have a girl about to go broody. You'll know if she starts acting suspicious. Mine usually come up for food, peep at me once, and then run off. That's when I know they have a nest somewhere. It's the only time the girls are even remotely noisy. Keep us posted!
