whats wrong? This is duckling 7

Yes, but isn't that an infection? There is a bluish circle around it's belly. I had a chick like this and it died from yolk sack infection

Yes, it *could* be. Do you have any Baytril? Is the duckling acting normal for one it's age?

No. I have veterycin
If it has a yolk sack infection it will need oral antibiotics, but since you don't have any, the best thing to do would be to put it in a clean incubator. Do you have betadine or just veterycin?

Just veterycin. Should I clean it off with water pat dry spray twice and put it in the incubator? Ill see if we can get the other. How much do I give it to the duckling and how often?

I know nothing about veterycin, so I can't tell you if you should use that or not. When mine look like that I squirt chlorhexidine or betadine on it and leave it alone to dry. If I suspect an infection they get a tiny drop of Baytril *orally*, but you don't have time to order it *if* that is an infection, 'cause an infection will kill the chick before you could order it and have it delivered. Make sense?

Oh so im sol? Veterycin is a medication for wounds and cute. If infected it will clear out the infection, but if not infected itl work to keep it infected. So I dont have anything I can do to save it? I just have to let things take place?
