Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I candled my muscovy eggs today. Well two of them anyways. I can't see anything through them now except the air sac. I have no idea when she started laying on them so no idea when they will hatch. I am excited. She barely leaves the nest at all now, not even to eat. And I noticed today that she was kinda biting at the eggs and tapping on them. I hatch quail eggs in an incubator but this is the first time I have had eggs hatched by their momma. It;s going to be so fun watching her teach them things.

The baby is very healthy, it's not very big though, and it feet are still curled up like they would be in the egg, so I think it hatched early, and if one if it's legs aren't formed right I'll get it the expensive surgery to fix it when it gets older

Hi all I'm new to this thread. I've checked it pretty regularly, but i don't think I've ever posted here before. Just thought I'd share a few pics of my babies. Some are 10 weeks old and others are 7 weeks old.

WET that membrane it's tooo dry. wet it good, then take some tweezers and slice the membrane from on end to the other, do not go around go from the Large end to the smaller end, Then it should work it's way out on it's own..

If you very carefully remove the membrane you can help it out. I have to do it occasionally for quail eggs. Just keep the membrane moist, not wet, just moist so it doesn't stick.
Need it wet so that it's see threw so that you can see it's veins and where exactly to make a slice to help it out, at this stage he can't get sticky..

Give it a day or so, it's just weak and it's been in the crazy position for so long that it will take a little time to get those flabby feet working correctly..
