Kristof is now four weeks old and starting to get some feathers in. I am so excited to see what she ends up looking like. She is so sweet and just let's me carry her around. My anconas will let me get close but don't want me holding them :(

my female muscovy that just turned a year old has been doing a high pitched chirp the past couple days I've never heard another duck make this noise so i was worried it wasn't normal. has anyone else had this happen?

I think I might be a little late to post this but one of my females does that when she's about to get mated with which makes the males not want to mate with her, but my other females do it when there going through ovulation or pregers

Buck it's not to late! Even if Daffy doesn't read this, I'm taking notes on all this for my Muscovy for the future! This is all so interesting!

Its been a really stressful week.. ducklings started hatching and I'm down to 2 from 6. One just made it out after 3 days of struggling but the cord was still attached

and the other one has internally pipped but thats it. It is now day 37. The duckling that hatched has torn off its umbilical cord

and my boyfriend is on his way home with some iodine to help prevent infection, but my hopes are not high for this one as every chick I've had hatch like this has eventually died :(

This is my first time incubating duck eggs and I think from now on I'll leave it to the ducks.

Anyone have advice on anything else I can do to try to save this little guy??
