Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Its been a really stressful week.. ducklings started hatching and I'm down to 2 from 6. One just made it out after 3 days of struggling but the cord was still attached

and the other one has internally pipped but thats it. It is now day 37. The duckling that hatched has torn off its umbilical cord

and my boyfriend is on his way home with some iodine to help prevent infection, but my hopes are not high for this one as every chick I've had hatch like this has eventually died

This is my first time incubating duck eggs and I think from now on I'll leave it to the ducks.

Anyone have advice on anything else I can do to try to save this little guy??
When they hatch still connected leave them in the bottom half of the shell. you can even put them into a small bowl or cup lined with paper towels till the yolk sac fully absorbs and the cord dries and falls off. I hope the lil one makes it. And it's dif not unheard of for Scovy's to hatch on day 37. Make your iodine mixed with warm water to look like weak tea and spray on it if you can.

I tried to but he ripped free of it before I could get him in a cup (little stinker) he was all goey so I will put the dilted iodine on it, rinse him off so he can fluff, the iodine again.

Poor little guy :/

Looks like Kathy is still hatching

AN adorable too.
And I have ten more in the house and a few in the bator, but they probably won't live. Got a call from someone that might buy all of them, just need to figure out a price that works for both of us. Tomorrow I'm going to go destroy all duck nests that aren't too far along.

I found babies today! SO happy! I now have a box of epic cuteness in my living room lol I was shocked, I had contacted the person before, and she was selling all her muscovy eggs, but I didnt have an incubator. She doesn't intentionally let babies hatch. Well I asked one more time, and lo and behold, she had a mam show up with 12 babies last night! I bought them all...

All the yellow ones have spots on their heads, some gray, some brown. I'm told they will just fade to white ducks? What about the 2 light brown ones? what color might they be?

Catching up with the thread, not been on here for ages, so jumped loads. Lovely chocolates. I´d love one or more, and my neighbour actually bred one from a pair that I gave her!!! Don´t believe it! If I see her with any more tiny brown ones I´ll go and buy it!
MLyd, keep meaning to say how I love your new avatar...given them names yet?

Here´s a pic of a little female that hatched while back, only child (I

pinch most of the eggs and leave one or two for the mom) I think she´s so pretty. No idea what to call her colour.
Hey livin good to see you over here. That is one gorgeous duck I'm not sure what color either, I'm not really that much into the colors and what to call them. But she is beautiful, and thank you about the avatar.

Update: started giving the duckling water with probiotics and electrolytes, seemd to perk right up! Still wobbly, but it's trying to get on its feet now *fingers crossed*

Well, I like muscovies, especially the variety of colours. Of course, as you know, my passion is my geese.
I´ve not bred many muscovies lately, as I was finding that I was giving them away, no-one wanted to buy them. Then, after a while, the owner of the feed store told me they couldn´t find muscovies easily, so I´ve taken a few bigger ducklings down there. I just keep the ones I really like. I have one drake still, and he has about 10 females that I keep mainly for the eggs, which are very popular here. I just let them brood from time to time, but then I think you already know that. I presently have one duck with 2 little ones about 2 weeks old, one white, one pied, nothing special there.
