Muscovy keepers share your pics!

This picture does a pretty good job showing Kristof's feathers.

She is getting so big

Beautiful

I have 10 ducklings growing like weeds. They are from blue x blue.1 black (wild type), 1 black, 2 blues, 1 chocolate (which has to be female), 3 silvers and/or blue version of chocolate, and 2 blues with mottled feet. The 2 blues with mottled feet had much more ywllow down compared to the other. It is my understanding that 2 solids can't produce pied? Am I incorrect with that or did one of my white hens sneek a couple eggs into this nest?

Apologies all. I'm uploading a few pics of little Pip.
He/she will be 3 weeks old in a few days and I'm dying to know what sex and colouring everybody thinks it's looking like! :)

Hi, I am not new but been away from BYC for about 8 months. My hubby and I were RV tripping around the USA. We lived in Wittmann AZ. To make a long story short we broke down while in Mississippi and ended up staying in the area of Hattiesburg MS. WE now live in a 5th wheel at the Okatoma Resort and RV park. We are part time park workers and I am the duck wrangler! Most of the ducks I care for are Muscovy. Is this thread the the only one that is dedicated to the Muscovy duck? We have a 4 Peking and the pride and joy of the owner about 12 Mallards I am looking forward to sharing about my ducky wards and learning about ducks more. WE also have a pair of geese that are pretty friendly with the RV people that camp at the park. I care for over 50 ducks altogether. Adding some soon for I have another nest of 20 being set on. And one of 3 that snuck past me. I am trying to get some of the numbers down. Did move to another pond all but 2 of the muscovy drakes and some of the young ducklings are going soon. Before working as the duck wrangler I didn't like the muscovy now after getting to know them and how sweet the little girls are I am in love with them. The two Drakes we have are real characters also. WE have a big fishing pond here at the resort and two ponds below us. It is duck heaven!
I'm in Mississippi to ! :highfive: be looking forward to some ducklings in late winter :) ) that's when I usually have my first batch.

Very cute! My guess is white and blue, but my girl shocked me! She was all brown with a patch if yellow on her chest, now her top is all green/black feathers and her chest and under are brown and black checkered feathers ad just a few have a few bits of white! So she totally shocked me. Part of the fun ;)
I had looked at every picture on here and found what I thought she would look like, brown, and now she's mostly black/green and dark brown.

It's certainly interesting isn't it lol.
Her mum is predominantly white with a splash of whatever brown is in Australia and her dad was black pied with white head gene and that beautiful glossy green all over so I'm hoping it's a she who is darker. I only have one darker girl so that would be nice.
Having said that, I wouldn't care if it turns out purple, as long as it is a GIRL! I can't keep it if it's a boy so I'm keeping everything crossed :)

ML she is really too young to tell about sex. but looking at her from the side now of course she looks female has the typical football shape. and legs still look slender. Only time will tell give her another 2-3 weeks then we may be able to tell for sure. I am absolutely no good on colors but Pip is gorgeous.

Miss Lydia, I suspected somebody would say that lol.
I'm SOOO impatient! So far, I think it's looking promising but she is extremely heavy which concerns me. Ahh well. A few more weeks won't kill me :)
She is beautiful. Full of personality and attitude too!
Each day I've been taking her out to the yard a couple of times for a few minutes to get her socialising with the other ducks but she won't have a bar of it. Just hides behind my legs when they come near her. I really hope she adjusts more as she gets older.

Buck Oakes, Nice to meet you. Where in MS do you live? If you want any new blood we do sell ducks now and again and we have way to many right now.
Miss Lydia, I think I know you from another thread when I corrisponded with you a few time when I lived in Arizona. Been on any Serama threads? Or maybe Delouse goose thread?
Here is a picture of the top drake here at the RV park. His name is Elvis. He is quite the character.
Added one view of the pond the ducks have for their pleasure. As i said duck Heaven!
