Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I looked at all my ducklings this morning. 10 were born on the 16th of June and 6 were born on the 19th of June so they are all right around 5 weeks but the 10 are 3 days older than the 6. I have decided that they don't read the books and are not going to follow the norm.

This little one has red started on the outside edge of it's beak like caruncles and has for about a week. It's feet are small and when I look at it's wing tips it has some hairs and what looks like maybe the beginnings of blood feathers but the tip is pretty bare. So it has two characteristics of a boy and two of a girl since it's feet are small and so is it's breast.

This little one is one of the bigger birds in the group and I would have pegged it as a boy just on size alone. It has the beginnings of the red on the edge of it's beak and a big pronounced breast but has small feet and wing feathers started already lol. So do I guess boy or girl? I just don't know. They are going to keep me guessing until they are fully grown I am sure.

The rest of the birds are similarly confusing not sure about any of them so I guess I will just have to wait and see what happens in another month or so.
Well, don´t go by what I say, OK? I´d guess the top one´s a male because it´s heavy and has a large bill, not dainty. And now you say it has a bald bit on the end of the wing, I think even more a male. So, maybe this one will be the male you´ll keep? Let´s see.
The other one I´d say is female. It has a finer head, pretty-looking, and has the flight feathers already growing on th end. That´s how I tell mine, and I can´t actually remember being wrong about it once I´d worked this out. Have a look at the undercarriage of these two in comparison..the male will walk with a wider gap between his legs, the female is narrower. The male walks with more of a swagger when he´s going at a pace.
I just love the colour of the second one. I went to a farm yesterday and they had 2 drakes and 3 hens this colour, but no ducklings yet...I´ll go back another day and see if they have any eggs or ducklings from them.

LilyD and Buck such beautiful ducks! I want a lap duck! LOL.
I wonder if I can change my name with out losing my standing? Fuzzybird does not really suit me any more. I used to raise silkies but have none now.
Now you need to be Muskybird!

some of babies when they were younger and now. Any guesses on sex and color patterns?
I´d go for dark male (chunky wide legs, big tail) and barred female, (dainty, good development of flights),but the chocolate I can´t see too well, but I´d be more inclined to say female than male, as it seems to have more flight feather development and seems to be daintier than the dark one. Don´t put money on it, though!

Sort of what I was thinking.

Yes okay thanks can it be possible for them to all came from the same mom and dad.I know their mom ( atleast the one who hatched them)was black and white but we aren't certain if they were her eggs . Back story is I got them from a farm where everything is free range the ducks and chickens lay outside and make natural nest . So I have no idea who the parents really are.
