It looks to be slowly breathing, but when I touch to see if it will move or do anything it doesnt, did I help too soon?

when do muscovies start to breed/lay eggs? Ours are 2 months and a half, so I was just wandering how long til we have to worry about babies and stepping on eggs.

Have you sprayed the membrane with warm water? It needs to keep moist.

yes I did and no it wasnt. I have not sprayed it yet.. I put it in the incubator with warm water

I thought this was the one that was peeping. Peeping mean they have pipped internally. Has this one pipped internally?

Miss Lydia I'm doing my best working with ducks.

No matter what in going to wait until I'm sure of sex to decide anything and I'll let everyone know when I know for sure. This is one confusing duck!

I wondered if this one might be a drake before, due to what I find to be a rather masculine-looking face.
This one is a challenge. Most of them are so easy to tell.
It´s small, so a female. It had its flight feathers early, so definitely female. It has a long narrow tail, so female. (Males have very wide tails, and a young male, due to its slow development of flight feathers, appears to have an enormous body (actually, it does have an enormous body! ) so you can see a lot of its back). And they´re so clumsy. The feet are wide apart in a male, but almost pigeon-toed in a female. This one doesn´t seem to be very feminine to me, neither very masculine.
I think it´s a female with rather masculine facial features.( Its eye is yellow, and a lot of bare skin around it.) I´ve never seen a female with a yellow eye, only dark. I think that´s what makes it look male to me, but the rest of this looks female.
