I have a duckling with an underbite

What color is it? I'm all for taking ducks that have deformities like underbites, blind, angel wing, deaf, etc.

At what age do Muscovy start to lay eggs? I might pick up 3-4 this weekend.

yep it really depends on the bird, like if they are born in winter like i had our born in winter, males mature enough o mate by june but females lay off on laying eggs. but if they're born in like june or july they can lay eggs by march if its warm enough

Even with the meds there's no guarantee that you can save them.

Very true but if your going to take on the responsibility of letting your ducks hatch ducklings or do it your self you need to be ready with all you may need. Iodine[betadine] Veterycin is another good one. And that's just for starters. I'm sure Kathy would have a list of things that should be on hand if necessary.

Here where I live any ducks hatched say in Spring early summer 2014 won't come into lay till following year usually around 8-9 months old. This has been the norm for me anyway.

Oh by the way I found that veterycine is another good thing to use for bumble foot, so it says on fresh eggs daily, it's some website
