I know but acording to most genetic chats if I cross a black drake to a chocolate duck I'll get all black ducklings but the drakes should carry the chocolate gene then if I cross back to a chocolate duck then I should get some chocolates (I too study genetics)

My ducks are all grown up. I ended up with just 3 girls and 7 boys,so at least 5 boys will have to go. Its so hard to pick who is going to stay,. :( I am so happy I got them this year though. Love these ducks, they are so friendly, quiet, and I love their colors.

Please tell me how you made that coop!!

that's actually one of my chicken coops. we made it out of scrap wood, mostly, so it's not real fancy. the nest boxes are low, so the ducks can use them too. that's our first coop, we made it too low to the ground so moving it is very difficult. we also did not strip the 2x4's down so it's pretty heavy as well. we have since built a second coop which is a good 4'' inch's off the ground, and much lighter, that can be moved very easily. I don't have any pictures of it right now, but I'll post some better pic's of both coops later.
