No you should have had at least one egg that tried unless they were seriously messed with but then the eggshell probably would have been cracked so it sounds like you were given infertile eggs

Dang it, possibly money down the drain again. I got some more Muscovy and goose eggs from the same BYC user which arrived a few days ago (detached air cells again!) and are now 3 days into incubation. Maybe the winter in Ohio is causing those drakes and ganders to shoot blanks. Hopefully it was a fluke and will have development this time.

Is it something about letting the egg sit for 24 hours to reattach aircell (which didn't happen), then not turning it in the incubator for a day or two, and letting it hatch upright?

I did let them sit for 24 hours upright pointy end down before putting them into my incubator if that helps. My incubator is a GQF Sportsman 1500 with auto turner which I think turns gentle enough.

Hey fellow BYC waterfowlers

I recently got 9 Muscovy hatching eggs shipped to me for incubation. Upon arrival, I candled them which showed all with detached air cells. Ten days into the incubation, I candled them again to my disappointment, all were clear.

So this is a question for some of you more experienced folks. Is it even possible for fertile shipped eggs to be damaged to the point where they do not develop at all? I was expecting at least some development if they were fertile - some blood rings, dead, quits, or something at least.

I decided to crack them open. They all pretty much looked like the pictures below which I believe is not fertile. Am I right to believe I was shipped yolkers?

i mean like theres always a possibility that they were damaged during shipping, but also there is a chance that they could have formed, but yes the eggs above are infertile. Where do you live, i could ship you some of mine in spring, free shipping but the price of the eggs depend as to which female lays first because i have show quality females and non show quality females but all are good egg layers. But the price is relatively the same, 2 dollars an egg for my non show quality and three dollars an egg for show quality
