Muscovy keepers share your pics!

For me Muscovies are great, yeah the red stuff on their face seems a bit weird but not all muscovy ducks have alot of bumps on their face, hell mine have none except for the bit at the front. Muscovies are quiet and not loud and they are very playful and love to be around humans. It's very cute watching them go for flies, their eyes get wide and they're so focused on it, it's just really funny.

If you ever search through google images if Muscovies, most of them have alot of bumps on the red part, but honestly not all are like that, they are great mothers and fathers aswell, they'll hatch out anything as far as I know. And when you feed weetbix and they come running at you, it's honestly such a cute thing to witness's they wag their tail and bob their heads and sometimes when the girls see their ducklings for the first time, it looks like their smiling

Honestly. Muscovies are the best ducks to have. I suggest getting one as a baby and growing the baby up until its adult, you'll fall in love with Muscovies after that, just try it

also they are very different then most normal ducks aswell

Reason #1 they are about the only breed of ducks that haven't had the broodyness bred out of them

#2 they do have good personalities

#3 they don't quack so their not very laud the females make peeping sounds the drakes make hissing sounds so you can practically get away with having them in a city
Thanks.... I don't think I'm going to get one tho @BunnyStyles

I don't know why you would just like be all like oh i think they're ugly and say that on a thread of muscovy keepers because some of them are going to go off on you, including me, Beauty is in the eye of the beholder i could call you ugly but i didn't mainly because i never saw you but i bet your not the best looking person ( sorry i didn't really mean that just giving an example, all people are beautiful in there way :) ) But anyway muscovies to me are he most affection ant ducks and like, uh.., i can't like even talk to you right now. I need some advice. My drake is coughing. When he starts talking every once in a while it'll sound like he starts choking on his own spit or something.why it this? He's not sick is he?
I know nothing about this since I don't own ducks but I hope you can find a resolution for your guy.

No he doesn't sound like he's coughing. He IS coughing. As he talks every once in a while there is a gurgle to his talk then he starts choking n coughing like he's choking over spit. He ends up stop talking because he ends up coughing for a lil bit then he's ok again

What about feed if dusty [some worse than others] when I use to feed dry feed I'd see that sometimes in mine, but a video would help alot. Can you pick him up and feel long his neck to make sure he hasn't swallowed something he shouldn't have?
