I'm not sure what happened, but she was dead in the coop this morning. I don't think she was a very hardy bird and she was having trouble handling the cold weather. So now I've only got poor Fudge, who follows my lone goose around. Sigh. Guess I better get some hatching eggs sooner than I had planned. I had wanted to let Praline hatch them. So if anyone has lavender eggs, drop me a line so I can hatch up some friends for Fudge.

I have welsh harlequins too, but they don't accept him. For that matter, Lacie isn't sure of him either. She doesn't really know what to do about him and runs away when he gets too close. She's getting a mate this year too. She was supposed to have come with a gander when I got her two years ago but he died on the way, and last year I had a disease infect all the goslings I had hatched and had to give them away to someone who didn't care that they were sick because their birds already had the disease.
