Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Their pen have a nice dark private area where the current girl is sitting on eggs, the previous one had that option but chose to hide her eggs outside and when I moved it's nest & eggs (for safety) and locked it overnight it abandoned the eggs that are now in an incubator. There is also a converted dog cage with cartons around it inside their run that other ducks have started laying, I plan on keeping my ducks for a long time that's why I lock them at night

yep sometimes moving them doesn't work out but at least they are safe and you had a bator, I don't have one I have to rely on my girls and have only ever had one try and pull a sneaky on me and I found her and her eggs but I didn't even try to move her I just tossed the eggs she was only sitting on them a little while during the day and had just decided to stay for the night when I found her since I lock mine in at night too. I have moved a few girls though and they stayed on the nest and eggs.
I'm amazed your ducks are brooding this time of year in this crazy weather we all have been having.

Well, I have a line on some blue pied and chocolate pied females. I may be able to get them this Tuesday, which would be great. The blue is older and hatched a clutch this fall, and the chocolate is about Fudge's age and about ready to start laying. So fingers crossed, he'll have some girlfriends soon.

They are last spring ducklings & first timers. I'm now very keen in searching for eggs around the yard at areas they might create nests and have picked eggs at two other areas, trying to encourage them to lay inside more, seems to be working at the moment.

Ps. First time with the bator too, if it works I'll try giving the ducklings to the sitting one to raise. :D

Good luck with that one, ducks un like mama hens aren't as keen on accepting ducklings but you may pull if off so at least give it a try but be ready to rescue if she doesn't want them she may attack them too. Let us know when hatch begins.
