Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I'm trying to work with my broody hen, but still not much of a change. She still attacks me when I check for eggs, give eggs, or remove eggs.. my bruises are bumpy, extremely painful, and the bumps are kinda firm. Idk how much more I can take with trying to work with her this time. What do I do to stop it?

When my one chicken was broody, she would attack me if I got within a foot of the nest. I wore a hoodie and rubber coated gardening gloves to check her every day.

Don't feel bad my chocolate ripple hen came barreling out of her dog house with wings flapping and attacked me if I got too close! Some are worse than others seems like.

Ya, my hands looked like that too. And they would ache! Some long thick gloves should help. Hold her head when you check (but they still can get you)

I'm sorry she's doing that therry :( but u have to admit, she's doing her job, imagine if a snake were to try and get to her nest, aren't you happy tht she would attack it rather than abandon the nest?

Welllll...... My worst hen I thought "at least she won't let anything in there"
But the day before hatch she was off the nest peeping. Upon checking I found a 3 ft garder snake. She went back next to her eggs but didn't dare mess with the snake .

Sorry, but no, I won't. I'm not allowing my ducks to sit and hatch in 106+ degree heat.

if you don't have a cool place then ok. mine is sitting on 13 eggs, it is very hot but I lock her in a cool place and let her out twice a day. she drinks, eats and has a bath then goes back. this is my first time hatching muscovies and I can only wait and see.

Yes!! I just wish I could get her to see I'm not the bad guy. I have a chocolate hen that if you pick up a baby she will fluff up, stomp and come at u. Lol but she hasn't done anything but intimadate sp? yet.
