Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I have totally fallen in love all over again... My 11 month old broody hen, hatched out her very first clutch of 13 babies. We lost one soon after hatch, so she has a total of 12. Not bad for starting with 14 eggs, one was an early quitter she kicked out of the nest at about day 25 Hatch day (35) was set for May 19th, however apparently things work differently when you let them do all the work. The hatch started on day 38, May 22 and finished this morning just shy of 48 hours later.
My ones just started hatching today and I was expecting them yesterday. My broody looks very similar to yours! Except she is slightly lighter shade. She started with 20 eggs. Was got cracked so I removed it. She got rid of several herself - don't know how. She's still got 15. Hopefully they all hatch!

Look at batman he or she is a muscovy. Cute he be any cuter??

I have two girls sitting on nests, but I'm pretty sure that my Khaki Campbell drake is the dad. He is the boss of the Muscovy drake, poor guy. Will the eggs take 28 days, or 35? We are moving but we are waiting to move the girls until after the hatch...we just have no idea when that might be.

Oh my goodness! Love love love! They are all so beautiful! I love muscovies! Next year I will defiantly get one! I have 8 ducks in my flock, and I need a scovy! There used to be one Muscovy that wandered around the town (I live in the country but go to town often) named Turkey. She mated with all the mallards and there were a bunch of mules all around. She was very pretty, tri colored. Sadly she died from a foot injury. I would just go to town to feed her and pet her.

Good question, I am sure someone will answer soon. I would like to know myself. I have a similar situation but it's a Muscovy hen sitting on possibly Muscovy eggs and regular duck eggs. Will she stop sitting if they start hatching at 28??
