Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I've been eagerly learning about muscovy genetics.... and now I shall post photos of my muscovy for critic!
Please feel free to correct me if you think I am wrong because I wish to learn.

I believe some of my birds are Atipico and they come in different forms of it. One of them is dusky which causes brown. Makes babies born looking chocolate but they are not.

This below looks like a Solid Blue atipico dusky. He still has some brown down on his head. I see black feet but his bill is light colored Maybe that's sepia (f/f)?

Color wise... I believe he would be spelled Nn+ L+L+ Ch+Ch+

This looks like a Black Dusky.... but not sure if it's a solid color since his bill is light colored. Maybe sepia? And I'm still confused by his feather pattern. I don't have ripple or barred bird parents.

And this one below is a Blue Dusky Canizie girl. She will grow up looking blue with a white head.

Does he ever fly off? How do you keep him home?
well, he's gone now. Flew off into the river back in December and whenever we try to catch him he flies off.

I miss him.

D'oh, that's not what I want to hear. I was hoping I could keep my drake unclipped this year. I got him as an adult, and I love, LOVE him to the moon and back. He's also kind of fat and slow-moving so I was hoping that when his wings grow back that he'd be too heavy to fly...I'm not sure I'm willing to risk him getting lost though. Oh well, I guess we'll have to re-solidify our friendship again after. Even if it takes a few days, I guess it's better than risking it.
trust me, clip them. My Drake Bruno was around 20 pnds, give or take and he could fly no problem. It's worth it.

do you know where he is? We had one fly off to a pond down the road and we set a live trap baited w corn and after about a week we caught her! Just thought I'd share because we know the heartbreak!

I might try thT!! Thank you so much!! Gives me hope:) glad you got her back:)
you're soo welcome! I hope it works! She had ample fish in the pond but apparently on a lazy day the corn looked like a better option! Lol it took a little while but we kept checking and adding more corn if it got wet or blew away but eventually like I said we got her! She's now one of my broodies!!! I hope it works out just as well for you! It was heartbreaking knowing she was right there and that anything could have gotten her at anytime!!

So I'm a first time Muscovy momma of two ducklings. Their mother was a domesticated Muscovy who ran off and mated with a presumably wild Florida Muscovy. She's all dark brown/black with black feet. Some of the hath clings were brown with black feet and some were brown and yellow with yellow feet. I have one of each. I read somewhere that the color of their feet ties them to a specific Muscovy subspecies but I'm not sure how accurate that is. Do you think the ducklings could possibly be sex linked? We have no idea what the drake looks like so there's no positive way of knowing but was just wondering if anyone had an educated guess
