I have a daughter in Sigonella, Italy. The next time she visits I'll see if I can get her to bring you back a chocolate or two. This is Blondie, when she was younger she was much lighter. Still a beautiful Scovie.

Thanks Miss Lydia! And she's one of the best Mommies as well. She's one of the younger ducks in our flock and was the first to go broody and hatched a terrific clutch of eggs. I think the four adolescents we have are from her, now that I think about it.

Well she sure made some pretty babies.

Beautiful colours you have there!
I only have blue pied, apart from two babies which are black pied.
If anyone is looking for blue pied babies I am willing to swap for fresh genetics to going our flock! Chocolates would be nice

You're a little bit of a fer piece from us in Texas! LOL! Wish I could, I love having different types. I have 3 Pekins, 2 Cayuga, and 2 Black Swedish, all hens!

This is Uno. He was, that is past tense, a house duck. He's joined everybody else and is liking being an outside duck much better. He's growing into a fine drake. And he's a great big brother to Sunshine, Lemon Drop, Francis and Jackie Chan, our 4 adolescent ducks.
Gorgeous. The chest almost looks like a jaguar pattern

Miss Lydia...I got a call from my neighbor down the road on 7/7. He has a LOT of Feral Muscovies in his yard and by his pond. He said he had an abandoned nest on his porch and asked if I could try to save them. I brought them home. Only one viable egg. I didn't have a functioning incubator so I placed the eggs and hatchlings in a plastic bin...placed a heat lamp over the top...filled an empty baby wipes container with very warm water for humidity and covered with 2 blankets leaving an opening for the heat lamp. The viable egg needed assistance on the 3rd day. Assisted with small chipping away of the shell. Thank God, it was successful! I've ALWAY wanted some Muscovies, so now these little ones have a permanent home with me.

Waiting for sibling''s arrival.

My three new babies

Splash time! Love these babies!♡♡♡
CONGRATULATIONS and GREAT job

I know NOTHING about ducks. Two of the babies had just hatched prior to me bringing them home.
There were 5 eggs, but only one viable after candling.
I really am completely surprised that this one little duckling made it here with my makeshift Warmer/Humidifier!
Muscovies are amazing! You will be a duck expert soon. Make sure you have them in a brooder and dry them off after they are in the water. Muscovies are more susceptible to chilling than regular ducks. Here is a great Muscovy web site http://www.muscovyduckcentral.com/
