Um, how many do you have now..? You're really making me want to load up the incubator! I got 9 eggs from the girls yesterday, so will soon be overrun with eggs...have to do something with them...no sense in just eating them, right? lol
Thank you.

Honestly, I don't know

I have some that come and go from our house to one of our stock tanks. One of the new mamas is from that group of about 6 hens and 1 drake. I have these 10 babies and 8 four week olds, 1 drake, 7 assorted ducks, 5 Muscovy hens and 15 young Muscovy here at the house pond. Don't tell my DH, lol... if he ever saw them all at once I might get in trouble, lol.

They are just adorable!

I love my girls I bought from you. They had a Black Pied boyfriend until he disappeared. Now they are with a Chocolate drake. They pretty much rule the whole bunch, lol.

I could sit all day and watch a mama Muscovy teach her ducklings.. They are beautiful @Ren2014
OMG, meee tooo! It's raining all day here so I haven't been able to enjoy them. I just can't believe the mamas had them out like day ONE. And in the tank

I feel so bad iv literally done nothing to candle mess or even lift the lid since lock down.... I'm too scared to check a thing. I will up humidity though. Iv noticed two of the eggs have changed colour at the end of hatch. Ie I can see feathers pressing against the shell. Well it looks like that? Is it a good sign?

Yes, that is a good sign :). I've noticed when I hatch my musky eggs, they tend to get really dark (almost look rotten) when there is a darker duckling inside. The lighter ones usually have lighter ducklings.

Though be careful, as sometimes they're rotten. Have you tried candling them? The rotten ones are obviously liquid, and the ones with live ducklings will move. (doing a quick check without disturbing the nest/incubator won't hurt anything)

That's how you got addicted to hatching ;)
Yeah...but I'm not contrite. I embrace my problem! :gig

I can't wait to hand raise some babies!!! Mine tolerate me but only a few will walk up to me.
This guy is quite familiar with all of us inside, he came in at just hatched so he is very much at home with all of us. But this time of years the hormones are surging again and he can be a handful. I had to put him out with his girls since he was bathing in the dogs water bowl then thought he'd go after me like he does his girls. So 30mins inside this morning was about it. lol They are a hoot.
@yoopergirl1211 I love the pic of your girl looking out the window.

Mine tolerate me as long as I have treats, lol. I've hand raised several of them. In 4 years I now have a few that I can actually pick up and love on
