silly girl won't let me in. She stands guard and bites my feet if I try to go in. She's protecting the eggs.

he is probably just one that doesn't spend alot of time grooming himself. Not alot you can do other than get some Veterycin spray and clean them out for him. Or rinse his eyes out with a saline wash

I picked some up and might try pinning him down. He doesn't want to sleep with the other ducks because of girls and normally gets his big butt up in barn with Andromida lol

Lol thats cute!

Andromida came off nest and was yelling at me. Like sought me out in yard, walked right up to me closer then ever and yelled. Im not really sure why. I made sure the chickens left her alone while she ate and she has food and water by her nest too. It was kinda weird.

Incubating 17 Muscovy eggs.....everything that the hens were nesting on has gone bad. Any ideas why they can't successfully hatch out a clutch? Had this happen Spring of last year, too. I did end up having eight Muscovies hatch under a hen in October, but the Spring eggs don't hatch. I'm taking all the new eggs away. I've read that Muscovy eggs are very challenging to incubate properly. Any comments? Hints/tips?

I need help please! I can't break my Muscovy broody...
It's been 4 months since I took her last egg. I took her nesting box/kennel away. I only bring it out at night to sleep in. Bare kennel. No bedding. I put her in an open bottom cage all day for weeks. Went crazy, climbing, flapping around. So, then out in the yard in the mornings. All she does is pace all day by the garage door because she knows her kennel is in there. If I don't remove her in the morning and put the kennel in the garage, she does not come out at all. She stayed in for over a week before I started removing her. It's been a total of 5 months now since started laying and now no eggs, won't leave the box and is obsessed w trying to nest. Won't socialize w the male anymore either. I hate this but I love her! What do I do?

Only a mother could love that face. He cracks us up though! He was neglected his first 3 years, kept in a dog run with minimal access to water, so he won't even swim!
