Wow.. Finally caught up after having computer trouble for about a month. I cant seem to get good pics of just Apollo, my lone Scovy because hes very attached to his unidentified girlfriends. So please excuse the girls in the background lol


He has beautiful barring on his chest but wont ever turn around to let me take a pic.

When he was little, he had spots but now hes solid black. Well except for the iridescent green and purple on his wings

He is beautiful Rookie.

The babies are adorable and so is the hen!

I am trying to incubate 5 muscovy eggs, I had them in with 3 dozen chicken and duck eggs off ebay of which 3 had development and then failed, they were my control group for my first attempt at incubator hatching. So I may have 5 more ducklings in a couple of weeks. I heard it is hard to incubate muscovy eggs, I guess we will see.

Aww I hope they make it. I could sit for hrs and watch mamas and babies, course I have sit sit an watch to make sure my gander doesn't try to take the ducklings, he has 1 from our last hatch but he thinks he's suppose to have them all.

I also have two Scovey Gals that have just reached laying age, oh and my Pekin Gal Scrappy is on a nest of Pekin/Scovey cross eggs that are due to hatch any day (I have NOT told my husband yet about those eggs..hes gonna have a stroke LOL)

They look like black and whites with some barring on their chests

I may be in the market for a Muscovy female or two. I believe one, maybe two of my mutt ducks are males. I listened more closely to their individual voices today and Bean and Quackers sound slightly hoarse, to my untrained ear anyway.

Ah well.. Such is life.
