Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Hello everyone we're new to muscovies but love our ducks, we currently have 10 different breeds of ducks and i always said "their so ugly" when it came to covies...but then i was offered a muscovy drake how had lost it's mate and that was it i instantly changed my opinion of them. I would love to find some muscovy hatching eggs or someone in my area with some muscovy hens.....so with further a do.......this is "Spike"
I like Spike he is a good looking fellow, where is Casar? Have you been on the NC thread? Bhep who lives in the eastern part of NC has Scovies.

I'm trying to get in the spirit for muscovys but I'm not there yet.

Well Miss Lydia, to answer your question, yes, some of my girls outsmarted me and slipped off and made nests in the woods and literally right under my nose (a bush smack dab in the front yard) :smack  As hard as I fought to NOT have hatches, I ended up with only about 20 ducklings this year. A far cry from 150 - 200 ducklings last year. :hit. If I can keep it under 20 like I did this year, I will be happy. :D But I"m thinking that I will lose that battle for 2013. :/

My dh doesn't want to process them, he doesn't have a problem with extra roos but these guys have such personality it's just too hard. I know you process extra drakes but I guess we're just whimps when it comes to our Scovies.

I use to be a whimp but when the ratio of girls to guys is 50/50, then that means somebody has to go! And those somebody's are the males. I hate to do it but no other choice.
