Hi all, so these are about 10 months old and all of them have lost their feathers on their necks/heads. My 2 year old drake doesnt have feather loss aside from the damage he got when he was fighting and the other breeds of mallard derived breeds have beautiful feathering. Just so hard to find info on muscovy molting!

Looks like mating damage from the males, the males will grab onto the female's neck to steady themselves when mating. What's your ratio?
Well that's what I was thinking as well but one of my males has the same damage. 2 males to..... unknown number at the moment 😂

How long has this been going on? My Muscovy molt their big molt in fall, where they lose their flight feathers. I have never had any looking like these . Have you checked for external parasites? noticed any excessive scratching? What do you feed them including any supplements? And do they have access to bathing water?

Just started going on in November. I took a closer look just now, none have anything that looks like parasites, the feathers just seem broken. Healthy looking skin, feathers and down. They have access to fresh water for bathing 24/7. They get fodder, layer and grains and now have access to grass and whatever else they want as they are free range.
