muscovy question

I agree with the others, I don't know a lot about the Muscovy breed as I just got my first ones last year, but with mine the males are exceptionally larger there is no question there. And the male has a lot more of the red on his face than the female. Mine the males look kind of "rough & mean" where as the females faces seem "small & delicate".

Thank you all for your replies. Its funny, I have been keeping a close eye on them for a while now to see if they mate, but they never did so I started to wonder if the one I thought was a drake was really a drake. So just after I posted this question yesterday I was watching them out the window and all of a sudden the big one did his thing with one of the females.. LOL go figure. I am really happy, I was getting worried they were all females. Now I am wondering if he is going to mate with my mallard haha.

lol he might, but i wouldn't let him, he's too big and might hurt your mallard. i actually finally got a pretty good picture to compare the size of my lil spoiled loveable brats lol

my babies.. they were about to go in for the second bath of the day.

Awesome pic! One of mine looks just like your white one. My other female muscovy is smaller, even smaller than my mallard. I will get some pics to put on here after it stops raining, the ducks like being out in it but I don't lol
