I have been feeding and helping a mom and two ducklings (8-weeks old). There are about 6 other muskovys on our pond as well. I had to go out of town for 3-days and I came back with the mom and ducklings missing. All other ducks are here. What could have happened? I have called for them, walked the neighborhood and no sign. The babies were not able to fly yet.

Thank you for any tips or thoughts on if they will come back.

Any other body of water close enough that she could have walked herself and the ducklings too?
Have you ever had predators animals or human around?

There are multiple bodies of water around that are walkable. It is just odd that all of the others are still here. The mom specifically stated with 2 males and another female. The crows were a threat when they were smaller but not as of late. I saw a stray cat for the first time in my backyard area last night. Our neighbors are all close by and have never seemed bothered or wanted to harm the ducks. We have at least 30-mallards, 8 Muscovy and 4 Egyptian geese that hang out around our house/pond. I have walked all areas and can’t locate them. 💔
