I've heard of using chickens to hatch duck eggs, but has anyone ever done the reverse successfully?
I don't want to let my hens hatch their eggs out (I want to keep collecting eggs), so maybe once my ducks have hatched their eggs out I'll try to get them to hatch out some chicken ones??

Any thoughts?
I'm NEW to all this.

Should work OK. Make sure the duck only has access to drinking water. Waterfowl increase the humidity of their brood by getting wet and carrying that moisture back to the nest. That`s something chicken eggs don`t need. Also, DO NOT let her hatch bantam eggs as she will squash the chicks and may break some eggs. Good luck........Pop

Also remember that dicks teach the babies to swim right away. This is not a good idea with chicks. You'll have a freaked out momma duck and drowned chicks.
