Mushroom foragers

These are easy to grow . They just pop up in sawdust . I call them deer mushrooms .

It is dryer than a popcorn fart out there!

Did a 3 hour trek around those 3 little lakes Ralphie and Jerry and found some COW. But none of the primo chanterelles or Hens. Left the cow. Came home and mowed the lawn and voila... there was some shaggy manes. Have never tried and I can see why people bread them. The sort of fry up super thin and the salt I put on them — well it was like a salt wafer. They are good but I like my Chants and trumpets and Dancing mushroom.

I’m super excited about my foraging knife. I spoiled myself here a little bit this late summer. I wish I could say I’ve been using it like crazy. But I cannot. It’s collecting dust in my purse.
Well let it Rain I say.

WE got an old fallen down tree hat produces oyster mushrooms like crazy, when we get a very damp few days it blows up. Im talking like a milk pail full of shrooms easily. What I don't cook with at the time ill freeze dry and store for later. Yes I know I could just put them in a bag and dry them out in the fridge but these gets so huge and are so wet i don't want to risk them getting moldy so the dryer is best for them i think.

hopefully it blows up here in the next week or so
Aaron
