How Much will you sell the extra for? My goodness. Looks like a fine day for sales for sure! LOL. And Mushroom knife?! I need to see a good picture of that! Awesome. Equipment!

Your mushroom knowledge is leaps and bounds ahead of mine. I try to read and comprehend what you write but am afraid I fail miserably. Keep up the good work, you are an asset here.

I had to look up the picture. Maybe I can find that one! I doubt it I have not seen anything like it.

I was driving home on the county roads from Princeton and I looked at parking area for the refuge and saw a bright orange chicken.

I immediately turned around and pulled in. I walked the entire 15 feet into the woods, only to find out I can not reach it. I need to get a ladder. The tree has 9 separate flowers in it, Some are huge, I estimate the tree has 50 pounds of edible chicken in it. I need to get it, but I am busy for next day. I hope it is still there and good tomorrow afternoon.
Please get photos of the 50 lbs of chicken!

So happy to see some mushroom hunters here! Any hunters in Maryland? I fell in love with mushroom hunting while living in the Pacific Northwest and now that I am back in MD I have to learn a completely new set of mushroom types, times of year, and environment... I also plugged some Maple logs last fall with Oyster and Shitaki spore- hopefully those will flush this fall. I will post pics if it works.

Dang Ralphie must know the other forager at one of my customers lol. I went in there tonight and sold my Combs Tooth and was happy to do so, but the other forager who sells there had delivered what I'd estimate as 25lbs of CHICKEN o the Woods!!! I didn't even know they were up here. When I was back in CT in Aug I was dismayed to find a huge Chicken stash that was fully fully bugged in. Sooooo sad!

Get them Chickens as I think they should probably be the "offical" BYC mascot mushroom since well, they are chickens :)

Here's my knife, I also carry a small folder but this puppy's gonna be my everyday carry. It's an Enzo Trapper made with 01 tool steel with a scandi grind and
curly birch burl handle. Blade length = 3.75" & overall= 8".

Sorry forgot to add, they go for $15 per pound to restaurants. Honestly though I grabbed that price from a CT foragers price list I think. Seems fair for what they are. The one restaurant who served it last week did it with a fish dish as apparently it goes well with that. I like mine with red meat tho because it tastes like Lobster.
