The weather's turning colder, and someone has wondered to me: Will muscovies try to migrate south if their wings are unclipped? I surely hope not, since I am rather loathe to clip their beautiful wings.... [IMG] No more looking out my upstairs window to a charming choc scovy girl on the phone wire.... But I guess we'll see....

I've never heard of Muscovies being big migrators. They are good fliers, but I haven't heard of any of them migrating.

Mine never have, they just look for a nice warm spot out of the wind

Ahhh, good. Well, my hens probably won't be migrating anytime soon, since I doubt they are too keen on leaving their ponderous, clumsier mates behind. [IMG]

This will be my second winter with Muscovy. They only seem to be interested in flying to find a place to sit or perch. They've never gone out of sight of the house.
