My silly duck is a human duck. She imprinted on us, lives in the house, and has no interest in ducks. She somewhat tolerates our other human duckling. But I've noticed some of our outside "normal" ducks when they had fluff in their nostrils. If I give them a few minutes to get comfortable they'll let me hold their bill long enough to pull the fluff out. Which feels a little awkward. Like you're picking your duck's nose!

Not speedy - I told her no, she turns gives me that side eye, and takes a mouthful.

When Bill, my oldest bratty house duck, was younger he'd grab bits of whatever, look at me and run away with it. I'd grab him, flip him head side down and pull whatever it was out of his mouth. Not sure why infant heimlich position was my natural reaction...seems to work though.

Speedy would do that, grab something up and take off running through house trying to chew whatever it was - with me chasing her and fancy chasing me. Soon as I'd get close enough, I tapped her on the back of her head just enough to startle her, and she'd spit it out or drop it, and I'd grab it before Fancy tried to take his turn at it!

ever had an egg bound hen? I never thought when I got little chicks that someday I’ll be serching a chickens butt for eggshells

My rouen was having some issues passing one and yes I had to massage her underside and poke around. Fortunately she passed the thing. What we do for these fluffy butts

I’m in a tough spot right now with my silkie... it’s been a day and night and morning already, and I can’t get her to pass the broken egg I can’t feel it either

Oooh I am so sorry, have you give calcium gluconate? @DuckyDonna has experience with some of ducks, not sure about any chickens though. Maybe she can help?
