It was facing the wrong end for a start and the incubators temp had a hissy fit, Not to mention the humidity..

Oh well. The girls have been laying well so I have a batch of 12 eggs ready once this hygrometer arrives. All about trial and error, eh?

Oh, its been so very busy! 2 turkeys and 4 baby Silkies have joined the flock and I have around 7 eggs in the bator. But im happy to be back on BYC..

Problem is I've realised the eggs in the bator are all at a different stage, and funnily I've lost track of what day the oldest ones are up to! (Frankly im surprised they're still alive with all the temp and Humidity fluctuating problems) In two of the oldest eggs the chick has filled up the whole egg (almost) which makes nervous because lockdown could be around tomorrow or the next day for all I know!

I hope everyone who is reading this is doing great and ready to head to the chicken coop!
