Wildfire took several steps forward, curling his lip to get a better taste of Sarah's scent. His interest piqued, he trotted toward the mare, his ears slightly backed.
Wildfire continued his advance, but his attitude changed. He adopted his gentler demeanor, the one he used for courtship. He stopped a few yards from the mare and nickered softly. "Hello," he said. "I'm Wildfire."(Sorry)
Sarah tossed her head defiantly and watched him come, eyes narrow.
