"Skylar?" Wildfire recognized the whinny and followed it until the mare came into view. Immediately, Wildfire's eyes darted about, searching for Caleb. "I thought Caleb got you."

Caleb? There's another stallion around here? She thought, looking around. She didn't see anything, but from now on she would be very cautious.

Skylar watched him. "Ha, he tried," she responded.
Wildfire couldn't help it; he laughed. "I'm not surprised you left. I had you pegged as a mare who likes real studs." He looked behind at Sarah, grazing nearby. "I'm looking for my herd, and somehow, I picked her up."

The 'show-off' thought went off in Wildfire's brain, and he began his wide circle around Skylar, whinnying and waving his tail.

Sarah snorted; loud enough, she hoped, for him to hear. She watched in amusement as he tried to woo Skylar.

Skylar flashed him a smile, and dipped her head down. Handsome the mare noted.
Wildfire did hear Sarah, and it threw off his steps momentarily. Recovering, he shook his head and resumed prancing. How could he ever find his herd if he kept getting distracted by loner mares?

Sarah rolled her eyes and lowered herself to the ground, rolling back and forth to relieve her unreachable itches. She sighed in relief and got up again, resuming her grazing.
