Mutilated neck

Good morning to all. My Leghorn ripped both sides of her neck, wide open. Seems she couldn't wait for me to open the gate and decided to stick her head through the fence. Something must have spooked her, and she pulled out with enough force to rip the neck open like a butterfly chop. Can I cut the skin off and it grow back or is it the end of the road for her? She laid an egg so shes not in too much pain. Also, I do have her isolated. Thanks.

. I would trim down the extra skin just standing there and add some neosporin to the wound. You might want to keep her separated from the others for awhile.
