'Mutts' possibly RIR x White Leghorn - Roosters?

I agree with the rest...the white ones are roos and the red ones are girls. I also agree they look sex-linked, but I haven't the foggiest clue as to what breed mixes they are.

you are not alone. As of right now I still think both reds are girls.....But time will tell.....And I hope when they mature more pics will be posted. I am curious and it makes not difference if I'm right or wrong. I'm sure the chickens don't care what sex we say they are.

The red sex links lay every day with the exception of a few missed in the month (they are by far my best layers). Mine have been awesome and are VERY lovey birds and also very friendly. They jump up in our lap for their treats.

Thanks everyone!

The browns do look very much like Isa Browns (lots of brown eggs would be awesome)

and after reading that link about sex links (Thanks Chris - although it almost broke my brain, hehe) that makes a lot of sense. As chicks they were 'silver' and 'gold'.

I was wrong on the ages - they are around 2 months old. I'll post more photos when they are older

Unless they start crowing....

I'm not sure of the breeding, but they look like the Golden comets, a type of red sex-links that I got last spring. White = roosters. Red = hens. The two hens I kept lay an egg every other day and they are very nice temperments.

They do look like golden comets...what I can see from a quick google anyways. But is Isa brown and golden comets just different names for the same thing?
