In the Brooder
So lately my hens have only put out about 2 eggs a day which is weird because I have 7 laying right now. Part of the issue I think is that we are merging our new pullets with our olders gals and its causing some stress. Anyways this morning I was looking under the coop which has about 9 inches high of space and saw Latte our Americauna under there laying an egg. I went back later when she left and found a whopping 18 eggs!!! She has is the same age as the other girls, 13 months, but she was the last to start laying which was about 2 months ago. She has laid in the nest box before but we also found about 7 eggs out in the bushes which is how we found out she began laying. How do I teach her to lay in the nest boxes all the time? My husband is blocking off the bottom of the coop to help but I don't know what else to do.
