Why would feeding her eggs make her live to be 13?
its actually replenishes there nrution. and prevents ur hens from getting egg health issues in the wild they would eat there own eggs. But because of factory framming they wont let the hens eat there eggs. and its really bad because the egg are theres not ours. now if u have oyster shells. you can still collect the eggs but you need to feed her atleast every once a week 4 eggs. you will still have enough for urself

I'm not doubting that chickens can live a long time. I'm saying that it is very unlikely that a Leghorn could be 13 as they are known to have very short lifespans.
Also, this person has said some very strange things in the past and is honestly not someone you should take seriously.
I understand your concern and it’s true that maybe this person is not the most reliable, but the facts are out there, and chickens *can* live to 13 years old.

I read about one that was 22.
And I think the other user is questioning this because the OP has said they've only had chickens for 3 or 4 years, I believe.
i don’t know the OP so I wasn’t aware of this. Maybe they didn’t raise it from a chick?

Odds are if you want that bird to live another year, it should be a house chicken. They're like little old ladies at that point and really anything can cause older animals to suddenly go down

The OP has said that all chickens can be wing-sexed. When corrected about this, he claimed to be a vet, but no one with grammer that terrible could possibly have gone to vet school, and he knows no basic knowlege of animal medicine. He has also claimed that his Peacock mated with his Guinea hen.
how could you be so sure. that there not true

There are peafowl guineas hybrids all over the internet so it could be a real thing (I’m not sure really on that matter). They may not be a vet and it’s not true every chicken can be wing-sexed... I’m on edge here.
