My 15 yr old dog died.....

I am sorry for your loss! She was beautiful. She was where she wanted to be when she passed, with her family. It is good that you got to be with her in her final moments.

OH, I'm so very sorry for your loss. I've been there, too, as so many others have. We don't have children, and our 4-legged family members are the closest we have to them. Each time we lose one, a piece of my heart goes along with them. I never love a new dog in the same way...and it's been years between them at times for me. I hope your kids are doing okay with the loss...thinking of you....

So sorry for your loss. Pets become so much a part of our family the hole they leave in our hearts when they pass is so painful and non-pet friendly people just don't understand.
We had to take my Charlie girl to the vet last week and both my SO and I were in tears on the trip. We thought her time had come. Thankfully it was only a kidney infection and we get to enjoy her love for awhile longer.

So sorry for you. BTDT and "raw" is exactly the right word to describe it.

It only started to feel better when we got a new puppy. Not a replacement, but somehow the new dog almost seems like a daily tribute to the one we lost.

You'll know when you're ready.

I'm sorry for your loss....How beautiful that you were able to be home with her when she died.

Hurts so bad...but I know your glad you were there.

CHF is not an easy one..My first love (Newfoundland) also died of CHF.

Grieving will take time...and you will go through it...In time your heart will mend...

Grieving is just part of loving....unfortunately

One of the most difficult things we ever have to live through is losing our beloved pets, isn't it? I am so sorry.......she looks like a sweetheart. You gave her the absolute BEST life that she could have had, I'm sure.

Do you know of the "Rainbow Bridge" poem? It is a beautiful, comforting thing to read and if you google it, you will find the website. I always refer people who have lost pets to this site. I truly hope you derive some peace and comfort from it and, with time, this will be easier for you.

God bless.

Nan and Michael
