My 1st Goats!! Many Questions

Sometimes you need to be careful will chemical dewormers, because the worms can become resistant. Can you ask what the other owners used? Ask when they were last dewormEd? You should read about checking their eyes for the FAmacha test...it’s a way to look at the inside of the eyelids to see if the they’re too pale...pink...good...pale..bad. Also... I should just throw out that there are good herbal dewormers that the worms do not become resistant to. This is a controversial topic...I just thought I’d bring it up. Safeguard and ivomec are very good brands...easy to give. Typically though, you have your goats checked first, to see what type of worms they have first. When I got mine...I did not, because they came from a bad farmer..so I knew they needed hit with everything. The goats are adorable...what are their names? What are their first favorite treats at their new home?

I purchased this and used about 2.75ml down the whole length of the back.

same chemical as Ivomec but 1/2 the price.

Yes it is a pour on. Bottle say 1ml per 22lbs so I went with roughly 60-75 lbs which had me give 2.75ml.
What say you?
I haven't used the pour on, and am not familiar with the recommended dosage for goats. Ivomec seems to be pretty safe for goats. Most goat dosages are higher than the cattle dosage.
