My 1st hatch. Due Oct 5th UPDATED WITH PIC

Good luck! I have some eggs due Oct 4 and some Oct 6. (hatching for someone else). Won't get much sleep that week, will I? Delawares, BBS Orpingtons and a couple BRs.

Tonight was day 10 and I candled. DH was popping them on the candler we made reakky fast and saying "yep" alot (it's really late) so I guess they are ok. One of them had a crack so I tossed it and one had dried up on the inside.I may check again tomorrow night . It's been a really long day.

I hold little hope for my chicks. I have been a terrible mom so far. The temp has been all over the place with the weather changing as much as it has.

I was just sitting here by the computer and I heard a peep and I thought it may be one of the chicks that one of my hens hatched last month running around in the yard but IT WAS THE EGGS IN THE INCUBATOR. Some of them are peeping at me!

I realy thought that these egs were doomed BUT THEY ARE HATCHING

The first batch hatched, last one this morning. Second batch is pipping now. And I just set 33 Delaware eggs for chicks to sell.

Congrats, Dawn! Just goes to show how God prevails through our mistakes! I just had an EE chick hatch nine days early, while I was still turning eggs! Remember the most important thing about hatching here is................pictures!
