My 2 week old duckling are shaking/having body spasms

I use TSC for lots of things but the employees are really uneducated about nutritional needs. My local store has been out of b complex for several months. They also often mislabeled their duck breeds. My local feed store does a chick night every 3 months where Purina poultry nutritionist come to speak and answer questions. You might check around for one in your area.
My local feed store told me it's ok to feed ducks just chicken food .
I went back to give them a chance to get it right. Nope different people same information.

I think you get this a lot from TSC because mine doesn't sell all flock. I had trouble ordering Mazuri crumbles from the local until one day the regional manager was there and told the store manager she sold ducks so get the feed. It's so much better than Flock Raiser. I am sure nutrition is similar but Flock Raiser stinks up the brooder. The Mazuri doesn't seem to make smelly poo. But you pAy a pretty penny for the better smell.

Also, my half Pekin needed supplemental Niacin even with the all flock and nutritional yeast. Pekin body on little runner legs. He is doing good now, though I don't know where his black feathers come from. Dad fawn and white runner, mom Pekin.
Sorry OP if I hijacked your thread.

please don’t worry lol all these additional info is great

Just FYI, we brooded ducks and chicks together. We used nonmedicated broiler crumble for the first two weeks then chick/starter grower. For both feeds, we mixed with brewers yeast (Amazon livestock version with garlic) and fed to both chicks and ducklings. Chicks can tolerate a range of protein and vitamin B supplementation so they will be fine with good duckling feed. Ducklings are pretty specific with protein and vitamin B requirements, as well as their need to completely submerge their bill in water. After getting the vitamin B adequately supplemented, you might look into angel wing and how to prevent and recognize it. Best of luck with your adorable brood!!!

I used the brewers yeast from Amazon for brooding ducklings. Had some left over after the last group and started mixing in my old Lab’s food. It replaced one of the expensive supplements we were using. Seems to work so good on joint pain I am tempted to try it on myself.

Use Nutritional yeast instead. It is better than brewers yeast. I buy 10lbs at a time I have 4 older dogs my birds and my self on it.
