My 2 year old is a nudist...

OMG!! And here I am thinking I was awful for thinking about using duct tape!!

You guys are SO funny. I did put his diaper on backwards, then put him in a onsie, and a pair of shorts to put him to bed.

Last night he stripped and peed on everything. Oh - my 5 year old is horrified by it, LOL, she's always yelling, Mooooommmmmm - he's naked again!!

That cracked me up! I dont have any kids yet, but I cant stand it when people let their children run around in diapers, let alone nude! Im going to have some serious issues with mine!

When my 6yo was that age, I had to put his diaper on backwards and put duct tape around the top of the diaper and onto his shirt, lol. Only had to do that twice though. After that the naked bit slowed down some (only bothered me since he would undress at naptime and then pee or poo on himself while sleeping @@). At 7 and 6 they still regularly sit around in their underwear until we have to go somewhere.

Either ignore it or scream "nakie tushie!!!" then chase them down and pinch their cheeks.

A perfect time to start potty training. "you can be naked but only if you use the potty"

As long as your dh is 'mortified' and shows it that will only encourage the undesired behavior.

I have two boys, 18 and 19. They still hang out around the house with as little on as possible. They usually throw a pair of athletic shorts over their boxers, but that's their home attire. They also stripped when they were little. I remember that until they hit puberty, their favorite thing was to lounge around in their underwear watching cartoons.

My girls are 3 and 4 and one of them (the one we just adopted in November) dearly loves to be naked. It's a kid thing. I hear that the girls outgrow it sooner than the boys. I hope that's true. The three year old is the only child I've had who I could trust to keep clothes on. Shoot, the four year old, when forced to wear clothes, just holds her dress up to her ears. Might as well not even have it on. Every Sunday we have to have the "keep your dress down" talk. It lasts til we get out the door, maybe. Then she flashes everyone at church as soon as we walk in.

Sorry to break the news to you, but this is COMPLETELY normal for a little boy that is 2 years-old! I have 4 boys and every one of them has gone through that. My sister's little boy is 2 right now and doing the same thing. BUT, here's some good news! They do grow out of it. My oldest boy will be 16 on Sunday and is horrified that he ever ran around naked!

Tell your DH to sit back and relax. This to, shall pass!

(All to quickly, may I add.

BTW, I have used duct tape in the past! It works very well, when you have people over for dinner!

my youngest was a nudist too. we used to live in Florida and all she wore was usually a diaper and maybe a shirt when it was cold. well in feb we moved to Ohio, we left Fl it was 75F we got here it was 15F and snowing hard. She jumped out the car took a deep breath and screamed "I want to go to Uncle Dave"(in Fl) Now she wears diapie and shirt only in the house and gets willingly dressed to go outside.

We did "naked time' at out house. After the bath, or before the boys were allowed to have 'naked time' and run around without clothes as much as possible. They loved it and it cut the unauthorized undressing. One boy was a total nudist, and took his clothes off everywhere, the other not so much. The one who wasn't nude as much lasted much longer though. At 10 and 6, they both have both have little issue with being naked. And if I have to shout "close the door when you do that" one more time.............
