My 2nd Duck Hatch!

I have 20 unhappy ducklings because the feedstore accidentally gave me pellets instead of crumbles and I didn’t notice until I got home. So far they’ll only eat it if I wet it and hand feed it to them… I hope they figure it out

Maybe crunch some of it up to be smaller like the crumble?

I’ve tried and so far I haven’t been able to get it to crumble much. I suppose I could throw it in the food processor.

I got my ducklings pellets since the feed store didn't have duck starter so I put it in a food processor and grind it up a bit and they don't seem to mind

I lightly moistened it which made it easier to crumble and they seem happier now

More outdoor fun with the 20 rascals. Tonight will be their first night outdoors (with heat plate, in a fully enclosed hardware cloth pen)

Haha, yes, maybe I shouldn’t have given Eagle such a fierce name

Tomorrow 14 ducklings will go to their new home. I’m feeling sad! I know they’ll be very loved though. It’s only a 20 minute drive to their new home but I’m going to give the new owner some poultry cell to hopefully help them bounce back after the stress. I don’t have nutridrench right now or I’d use that
