Our ducklings can race to see who hatches first I hope you get some external pips soon. How many eggs do you have?

I was sure a few of my ducklings would have hatched this morning but none have!!!

I think this one is starting to zip though. I can see it’s little bill!

How exciting is that, keep going little buddy !!!

My first batch took soooo long, I was agonizing, and decided to help, maybe a little too much.. I ended up with 2 that died fully developped in their shell, probably skin wrapped... that's why I am trying to let nature be this time....but....it's really hard! I had my first pip just now, I'm really excited, they seem to be early this time. I tried to keep the temperature slightly higher (100.5 in comparison to 99.5) and maybe it worked out well!

I have 5 runner eggs (2 whites and 3 apricot trouts project (so colors might vary)) and that's the amount of eggs I had initially put in the incubator that I received through the mail, so that's pretty amazing that they were all good! What type are you eggs?

I bet your Runners will be adorable! It’s so hard to get purebred Runners here in Hawaii.

My eggs are a mix of breeds from my flock, so they will be very cute mutts I have: Khaki Campbell, Silver Appleyard, Cayuga, Swedish mixes, and I have one black Runner drake so some babies may be half Runner.

It’s so close!! It looks like egg #12 will win the hatching race over here. It’s bill looks dark so I’m guessing dark dusky, chocolate, black, or maybe white bibbed black.

3 ducklings have hatched!!! The 2nd one is lighter with a yellow marking on its chest. 3rd is solid colored I think. It’s in a place where I can’t get a good picture right now
