My 2nd Duck Hatch!

It’s 1:49 AM here so after checking to make sure everyone is ok I’m back to bed. I hope #3, backwards baby, will be ready to hatch tomorrow. It feels overdue but I have to remind myself that it never had an internal pip so it needs longer to get ready to hatch.

One of the last 3 to hatch, egg 25. It does have about 4 pips close together so I’m hopeful it will start zipping soon.

I’ll get more pictures later. It’s going to be verrry hard to choose which ones to keep. There are 2 with mallard coloration which my sister loves - she’ll kill me if I don’t keep them both Personally I prefer the chocolates and buffs. But there are so many cute ones and some of them I don’t even know what color they are

That’s what I’m afraid of I said I’d keep 4, but…..

I now have 20 ducks when I started with 4 of course that was almost 20 years ago hard to believe! It’s just too hard to give them up Until you realize there are too many drakes.

I am expecting to have that issue with my hatched ducklings... Will need more ducks to go with my drakes. I will need to adopt already sexed ones I think or get rid of some of my drakes... which I'm sure won't be able to do.
