Well of my 3 new cochins, 2 are roos. A little disappointed. Don't know if I'll be able to keep both or either. Hopefully they aren't too lound when they start crowing. Also a little disappointed that the roos are white. I have 3 white silkies and was trying to add some color. One is partridge and I was initially told the other 2 were blue or splash. Then when I went to pick them up she told me they may be white. And sure enough they are. But I just recently found an ad for black silkies very near to me. I had traveled an hour and a half previously to buy my other chicks. Finding some only about a half hour away would be very nice. My husband has been wanting black ones so hopefully I hear back and can add some more color to my flock. Fingers crossed

My cochins are only a few weeks old now so I'm waiting to see what they're going to act like before I decide if I want to keep them or not. But I am planning on attending my first chicken swap at the begining of next month to see what it's like. The lady with the silkie chicks sold all the babies but offered me some older ones. I was willing to take a look (don't wanna just agree to buy without seeing their disposition since I already have hens they would be going in with) but she never got back to me. Guess I'm still on the hunt

That's fine though. I'll take my time and make sure I get what's right for me & my "girls".
